The right blend - Singapore's role in Asia's net transition
September 2023 | SGT
Overview

Singapore has committed to achieving Net Zero by 2050 and has implemented a wide range of measures to achieve this target, from investing in renewable energy and energy efficiency to exploring new technologies.

The country has also made progress in establishing itself as a global hub for sustainable finance.  With the recent enhancement of its Green Finance Action Plan, it has not only renewed its commitment to marshalling capital in support of Asia’s push towards Net Zero but reaffirmed the importance of blending green and transition finance towards catalysing Asia’s energy transition.

As part of MUFG’s longstanding commitment to Asia, we have actively engaged key stakeholders to further align their sustainability agendas with Asia’s broader decarbonisation efforts and developmental trends.

It is with this intent that we will be hosting MUFG N0W (Net Zero World), a series of thought leadership and networking sessions bringing together top business leaders, policymakers and industry experts from the region.

MUFG in association with The Asset is pleased to host the inaugural session of MUFG N0W series. This event will explore Singapore’s progress towards decarbonising its economy and becoming Asia’s standard bearer for sustainability.
